A creepy fan was arrested for stalking Miley Cyrus and then let go because of jail overcrowding - despite telling Georgia cops the "Hannah Montana" star sends him "secret messages" through her TV show.

With Mark McLeod's whereabouts unknown, Disney bigwigs fear for the safety of the 16-year-old.

Studio execs are so concerned that McLeod could harm the starlet they alerted Los Angeles cops of his arrest and release in Georgia, reportedly.

In March, McLeod professed to the Daily News that he is Miley's "No. 1 fan" while waiting to see her at a Midtown book signing.

He said he first saw her in concert in Orlando last year and since then "I've kinda been watching everything she does."

McLeod of Appling, Ga., showed a far more sinister side June 22 when he was arrested in Tybee Island, Ga., near where Miley was filming her upcoming movie, "The Last Song."

Cursing at cops, McLeod allegedly tried to head-butt one officer as he was being handcuffed.

"[expletive] you and your rules!" he screamed as he tussled with police. "I will [expletive] be with Miley!"

He told cops he had "thousands of pictures and letters to Miley on his computer," and had mailed her diamond rings.

"McLeod stated that Miley's responses came in the form of 'secret messages' on her television show directed only to him," the police report says.

He was charged with misdemeanor disorderly conduct and obstruction and released a day later due to jail overcrowding. "If we had heard something about this guy supposedly being a stalker ... he wouldn't have been released," Chatham County, Ga., Sheriff Al St. Lawrence told WSAV-TV in Georgia.

Tybee Island cops were apparently unaware that a court order had been issued in Los Angeles barring him from coming near Cyrus.

The suspect was ordered to appear in Georgia on Sept. 1. Miley Cyrus' spokeswoman did not return calls for comment.

During his arrest, McLeod boasted to Tybee Island cop Warren Millikan that he and the actress "great friends."

"Nobody will ever be able to keep us apart," McLeod told cops, according to the police report.

Repeating what he told The News, he claimed he became Miley's most devoted fan when he saw her in concert for the first time.

Our eyes met at her concert and we both knew," McLeod told Millikan, adding that Miley Cyrus had accepted his marriage proposal and that her father, Country singer Billy Ray Cyrus, had given him his blessing.

"I walked straight thru security and up to her bus," Millikan claimed. "Billy Ray was standing there. He shook my hand and said you're a good man we've been praying for."

McLeod even dissed Miley's ex-boyfriend Nick Jonas of the Jonas Brothers, saying, "Miley is only with the Jonas brother for the press."

Police believe McLeod is obviously delusional.

Miley Cyrus is hoping to start a "Party in the U.S.A." with her new song. The "Hannah Montana" star just released a new song to coincide with her upcoming tour and clothing line.

Miley just released the "Hannah Montana 3" soundtrack, which featured the Top 10 hit "He Could Be the One." But she's already at work at an EP under her Mley Cyrus name which is set to be released exclusively at Wal-Mart. She's working with Katy Perry and Kelly Clarkson collaborators Dr. Luke and Claude Kelly

The first fruit of those sessions, "Party in the U.S.A.," is a breezy summertime pop/rock anthem, which name-checks Jay-Z and Britney and even makes reference to Cyrus' own "Butterfly Fly Away."

The new set is set to be released at the end of August to coincide with the Miley Cyrus and Max Azria clothing line set to hit Wal-Mart stores everywhere. Her tour, which will be presented by the Miley Cyrus and Max Azria line at Wal-Mart, kicks off September 16th in Tacoma.

"Camp Rock" star Demi Lovato has praised her close friend Miley Cyrus for helping her cope with the pressures of being famous.

The actress and singer, who achieved worldwide fame opposite the Jonas Brothers in the Disney movie, told Sugar that she shared an "amazing" friendship with the "Hannah Montana" star.

"I call her Dragon from our favourite film "Step Brothers," Just Jared quotes her as saying.

"We talk every day and she's given me so much advice. Recently she sent me this four-page text message encouraging me and telling me she has faith in me. It was so inspiring and made me feel great - because I do get overwhelmed by the paps sometimes."

Lovato, 16, recently split from Miley's older brother Trace, the frontman of band Metro Station. He later blamed the separation on work pressures and their age difference.

Miley Cyrus has a new friend - Ghost Ana in Room 204! Miley Cyrus’ Ghost Ana of Room 204 stayed with the singer last night in her haunted hotel room. But this morning, Miley reassured friends one new detail. Ana is an angel, not a ghost.

First, Sunday evening Miley twittered to fans that she would be spending the night in haunted room:

“Staying at a haunted hotel with mommy tonight. BOO!”

Miley then updated that mosquitoes had joined her spook fest.

“Nothing better than being eaten alive by mosquitoes. (No sarcasm in this tweet)….Just blogged on Mileyworld. I will be updating about my ghostly experience. Boo!”

Miley Cyrus is a busy girl these days. The Disney star not only shoots her hit television sitcom, "Hannah Montana", and her new movie "The Last Song", based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, she is also beginning her 2009 tour in promotion of her new album “Breakout.”

She will start her tour off in Washington and work her way from the west coast to New York and everywhere in between. She will be making stops in Nashville, Birmingham, and Atlanta. October 23, she will wow crowds at the BJCC Arena in Birmingham. On November 25, she will be performing at the Sommet Center in Nashville, then again four days later at the Phillips Arena in Atlanta, all within a couple hours of Huntsville.

Any kid would love a chance to see "Hannah Montana" in concert. Cyrus provides wholesome music for kids of all ages to listen. Her music provides entertainment and inspiration to millions nationwide.

Miley's new album “Breakout” debuted at #1. “Breakout” sold 371,000 copies in one week, holding the number 2 spot of most records sold in one week, only behind Mariah Carey’s “E=MC2” which sold nearly half a million copies.

Continuing work on her new movie, Miley Cyrus has been staying in Tybee Island, GA as she plugs away on “The Last Song”.

Spotted on the set earlier this week (July 15), the “Hannah Montana” starlet looked cute in a casual grey top with white sweatpants - enjoying a break in the day’s action.

Meanwhile, Miley just recently locked into another new role - as she’ll be taking the lead in author Aprilynne Pike’s bestselling novel "Wings".

With her mother, Tish Cyrus, acting as executive producer, Variety reports tell that “Wings refers to the physical appendage sprouted by Laurel, a sheltered 15-year-old who suddenly discovers she’s a fairy.”

She's been posting a variety of twit-pics which show her dancing around and hanging with her fam, proving that she's "loving life" and "happy to be single."

Disney has found a new starring vehicle for "Hannah Montana" star Miley Cyrus: The company snatched rights to the young adult novel 'Wings' and has plans to develop the title around Cyrus, according to Variety.

The story, originally written by Aprilynee Pike, will revolve around Cyrus playing Laurel, a 15-year-old girl who grows up home-schooled in a small town before heading off to a large high school. There, she realizes she's unlike the other kids, as she sprouts a pair of wings and realizes she's a fairy.

The book was originally published in May and is planned to be just the beginning of a four-title series. Cyrus is currently shooting 'The Last Song', an adaptation of the novel Nicholas Sparks wrote.

The 16-year-old budding movie star dished on the value of natural beauty, dating her best friend and getting to live her prom over and over again. Check it:

On keeping everything natural: “I like these crooked. I love my teeth. My dad won’t let me fix my teeth or cut my hair. He loves it. He’s like, ‘It’s you!’”

On feeling like a princess every night: “The most fun thing about prom is having that one special night when you dress up and you feel like a princess, and honestly, I get to do that one night a lot.”

On former boyfriend Justin Gaston: “We’re together, and then again, we’re not. Some people see us more as friends and don’t get why we work in a relationship. They’re like, ‘It’s weird, best friends shouldn’t date!’ But the person that you eventually spend the rest of your life with – I’m not saying it’s him – why are you going to wake up with someone every day and not want to hang out with them?”

Although Billy Ray Cyrus continues to have his own successful career as a singer and actor, he doesn’t mind it when he is now sometimes referred to as the dad of Miley Cyrus.

At red carpet events, Billy Ray and Miley pose together, and then he graciously steps aside to let photographers take solo shots of his daughter. In this interview, he didn’t mind at all answering questions mostly about Miley. In fact, he sounded proud and inspired just talking—and at one point, singing—about his 16-year-old progeny. They both appear in the film version of their hit TV series, “Hannah Montana.” Excerpts:

When did you realize that Miley was going to be an entertainer like you? How old was she?

Carl Perkins, who wrote “Blue Suede Shoes,” and I were singing “Amazing Grace” at a benefit tribute to Elvis Presley at The Pyramid in Memphis, Tennessee. Then, Miley broke away from her nanny. She was about 2 years old. She got up onstage and she went for the mike. A singer from The Jordanaires reached out and picked her up. Then, she got passed to The Sweet Inspirations, then to Tony Bennett. She never missed a lick. At the end of the song, Carl said, “You have something really special here.” That was the moment I knew.

When did she decide to become an actress, as well?

It was when I was making the TV series, “Doc,” in Toronto. We watched “Mamma Mia!” in a big theater there. During the show, Miley said, “I want to be that—I want to be a great actress!”

The next day, she and her mom started looking for acting coaches. I never saw a person that young dedicate herself to a dream. Then, she started doing guest spots in “Doc.”

Vision

Why did you name her Destiny Hope?

Even before she was born, I had a vision that she had a purpose in the world—and that it was her destiny to bring hope to the world. So, her name became Destiny Hope. I look back now and go, “That premonition was pretty much on the money!”

How did she get named Miley?

From the first time I saw her as a baby, she was always smiling. I started calling her Smiley. Then, when I started talking baby slang, I drop the S and said, “Oh, she’s Miley—look at Miley.” She has now changed her name legally to Miley Ray. I kind of wish she hadn’t changed her name. She wanted to do it. I don’t know if you know, but my dad—her grandfather, passed away recently. She loved him a lot. His name was Ronald Ray Cyrus. And, obviously, I’m Billy Ray. Miley wanted to change her name to Miley Ray.

Now that Miley is starting to make her own decisions, how do you feel about that as a father?

Life is a matter of choices. You make some good and bad ones. When stuff happens, you adjust. My mom and dad got divorced when I was 5 years old. I remember, by the time I was about 8, I asked my Dad, “Why is everything all messed up?” He replied, “Son, the moment you realize that life ain’t fair, then you’ll be ready to go to the next step.” A whole lot of that is who I am now. Some of it has rubbed off on Miley. Sometimes, you get knocked down. But, it does no good to lie in the road and cry about it. You’ll get run over. So, I learned to get up. Miley is pretty strong, too. She’s a fighter.

Are you scared to see that she’s almost a woman now?

She is a woman. I look back at the moment when I wrote a song about Miley, “Ready Set Don’t Go.”

Lyrics

I wrote it when she and her mother left Memphis for California. I knew something big was about to happen. I saw my guitar, I picked it up and started singing—the lyrics just came (he sang): “She’s gotta do what she’s gotta do/And I’ve gotta like it or not/She’s got dreams too big for this town/And she needs to give ’em a shot/Whatever they are/Looks like she’s all ready to leave/Nothing left to pack/Ain’t no room for me in that car/Even if she asked me to tag along/God, I gotta be strong.”

“She’s at the startin’ line of the rest of her life/As ready as she’s ever been/Got the hunger and the stars in her eyes/The prize is hers to win/She’s waitin’ on my blessings/Before she hits that open road/But baby get ready, get set, don’t go.”

Now that there are boys in Miley’s life, how strict are you with her? Do you have a shotgun ready, so to speak?

Luckily, I left all my guns in Tennessee (laughter). That was a joke. See, that’s why I didn’t go into comedy. I just stand by and watch. If I sense danger, I step in. She’s still somewhat a kid but definitely leaning toward becoming an adult. She has earned my respect as a human being. She has a fair amount of common sense, probably a lot more than what I was blessed with. For the most part, she makes good choices.

Miley Cyrus took to her Twitter page today to have "girl talk" with her fans. The Hannah Montana star and recording artist posted a series of Tweets that read:

"Nothing makes you glow more than love. It's all about love. Please never forget how beautiful you are girls. You are perfect. =]

Good lord, I love me some Miley. Miss Cyrus is on the cover of Elle's August 2009 issue looking like the grown up girl we're coming to realize she's destined to be. Elle doesn't generally grab such young cover girls, but seeing as Miley's star just keeps rising, she's probably a good choice for the magazine.

On her new clothing line with Max Azria for Wal-Mart:
"The jeans are my favorite part of the entire line. Because, like, literally this is going to be good for, like, Middle America, and it will be great for kids that really want to be in fashion but that don’t have it available."

On the difficulties of being a teen star and why she’s friends with other young performers:
"It’s hard for all of us. There are so many people that could be using you. So me and Nick and Demi, we don’t need anything from each other. We got our own thing going on."

On July 5th, Miley Cyrus held a live video chat at Hannahchat.com.  She answered fan questions, sang, shared some stories, and seemed to have a really fun time.

Miley even addressed the people who are always saying negative things about her.  This was very touching. It really showed people that even though she is famous, she is still just a girl, who can be hurt by mean things the same as everyone else.

Another music video for "Hannah Montana" season 3 has been debuted, this time to promote a song called "Every Part of Me". Still capturing the same scenes seen in "Mixed Up", " Just a Girl", "Let's Get Crazy" and "Supergirl" music videos, this newly-outed one features Miley Cyrus' Hannah Montana taking the stage with Justin Gaston.

Soundtrack album for the Disney Channel's TV series is confirmed to be dropped in U.S. on July 7. In the spirit of the album release, Miley will have a live chat, answering fans' most-voted questions on Sunday, July 5.

Featured guests in the soundtrack compilations are David Archuleta, Mitchel Musso and Corbin Bleu. Miley joins forces with David in a song called "I Wanna Know You", teams up with Mitchel in another track titled "Let's Make This Last 4Ever", and collaborates with Corbin in a song called "If We Were a Movie".

That’s the message Miley Cyrus posted on her official Twitter page back in June.

@mileycyrus hey sista. got a thousand messages saying how many nice things you’ve been saying about me. we’ll have to find time to write.

Rob Thomas said that he got a phone call from producer Adam Shankman, being asked to write a theme song for Miley Cyrus-starring movie "The Last Song". The vocalist of band Matchbox 20 told the matter when launching his new album "Cradlesong" at the Maritime Hotel on Tuesday, June 30.

"My buddy Adam Shankman, who just directed Miley's movie, called me on the phone the other day and was like, 'You have to write a song for this movie,'" Rob told New York Daily News. "It was so funny. I would definitely write a song for her."

Rob Thomas first laid his hands on writing soundtrack for film project in 2007. He wrote a song called "Little Wonders" for an animated flick titled "Meet the Robinsons".

Beside contributing to movie soundtracks, Rob also crafts tracks for his own studio albums. His debut solo effort titled "Something to Be" was outed in 2005, and his sophomore set has just made its way out in America on June 30. As for his project with Matchbox 20, Rob has four studio albums available for purchase on the market.

After a music video for "Mixed Up" arrived, now a music video in companion to another "Hannah Montana" soundtrack, "Just a Girl", has been found. It shows similar scenes featured on the "Mixed Up" video. While the previously-premiered video has Miley Cyrus wearing a white and purple dress, this new one sees her donning a pink and white top combined with white pants. Both videos capture Miley as Hannah Montana performing in a live concert.

Miley Cyrus has released her latest studio album "Breakout" in 2008. While there is still no word on her new effort, Miley has hit studio, crafting soundtracks for her Disney's TV series. In this project, she joins forces with David Archuleta, Corbin Bleu and Mitchel Musso in addition to having solo songs.

As for other projects, Miley has lent her vocal to Jonas Brothers' new song "Before the Storm" and teamed up with Nick Jonas, Joe Jonas and Kevin Jonas during the band's tour opener in Dallas earlier this month. She will also hit the road with Metro Station, starting on September 14.
